Van Ness Main Street is looking for volunteers for our Committees: Events/Promotions, Design, and Economic Development.

Meets monthly, with occasional additional meetings near major events. Some Event Examples: Farmers Market, Barks and Brews, Annual Fundraiser, aLIVE@VN.
The Design Committee explores opportunities and facilitates projects to improve the physical environment. The Committee works to enhance the image of each business, as well as that of the whole area. The Committee also provides design advice to encourage quality improvements to private properties, as well as public spaces. It also focuses on long term development plans, and guides future growth. Meets bi-monthly and Subcommittees meet on non-full Committee meeting months. Recent projects include new lighting for businesses at Albemarle and Conn. Ave., Design Principles Guide, and landscaping at 4340 Conn. Ave.
The Economic Development Committee aims to create a vibrant, diverse and supportive business environment by working to enhance current businesses, while attracting new businesses that will complement the needs and demands of the Van Ness Community. The Committee recently completed the first Van Ness Retail Study. Meets monthly and our Holiday Pop Up Shop at 4340 Conn. Ave.
