We are looking for local art and artisan vendors who personally MAKE and/or DESIGN their own handcrafted, handmade goods that are independently distributed and sold. The VAN NESS MADE IN DC POP UP SHOP is a collaboration of Van Ness Main Street and the University of the District of Columbia.
During the Market’s first year in 2016, the two-day market drew more than 3,000 visitors, producing more an average of 500 sales per hour, and over $20,000 in total sales for Market vendors. This year the market will expand to 10 days and will be supported by a variety of activations to draw visitors from across the neighborhood, city, and region.

This marketplace will be open to the public and will feature holiday events and activations to draw visitors from around the neighborhood, city, and region. Participation fee of $75/day will be collected at time of acceptance and includes a 6X10 space (all spaces are sheltered – no need to bring your own tent). Please select the days that you wish to participate from the form below – there is no minimum number of days required for participation.
Deadline for applicants is October 4. Applicants will notified by October 6 of acceptance.
