On December 10-11, Van Ness Main Street and UDC hosted a temporary “Made in DC” Pop up. The store was located at 4340 Connecticut Ave. The event featured all DC vendors. Some highlights included:
- Over 2,400 shoppers (1350 on Saturday, 1050 on Sunday) visited Van Ness
- 25 local DC vendors, from soaps and T-shirts, to art, coffee, jewelry and beyond, who grossed over $20,000
- Almost 50 dogs, who had their portraits made with Santa, yielding $1200 to City Dogs Rescue
- Holiday caroling courtesy of the Singing Capitol Chorus
- A guest appearance by Santa
