VAN NESS SOCIAL CLUB-THAT’S A WRAP
Thanks to so many of you who joined us for our first Van Ness Social Club held on Saturday, October 28. We had a great time transforming the vacant plaza at 4250 Connecticut Ave. into our very own town square. Over 250 people attended our first event. Check out photos at vnsocialclub.com. We are working on developing some other events for the spring so that we can continue to use the plaza as a fun space for Van Ness. Stay tuned. Thanks to AARP for their support of this project.
MADE IN DC POP UP SHOP
Our second Holiday Pop UP Shop will begin on Saturday, November 25 from noon until 5pm. The Pop Up Shop will continue the following three weekends in December. We will have a variety of different vendors each day along with live entertainment and Santa visits. Check out the full lineup here.
SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY IS COMING
On Saturday November 25, Van Ness will be part of Small Business Saturday. Come shop and dine in Van Ness and help support our local, homegrown businesses. Small business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses and celebrating communities across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Check out our website to view our local businesses in Van Ness. Come show your support.
GIVING TUESDAY
Van Ness Main Street will once again participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. This year’s #GivingTuesday will be on Tuesday, November 28. We hope that you will participate and make a donation to help Van Ness Main Street continue its mission to create a vibrant Van Ness. While we receive some funding through our partnership with the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development, we really need your sustained financial support to continue our work.
